Gambit collects the following information to provide and improve our services:

Local Data (Stored on Your Device)

• Habit Data: Your daily habits, completion dates, and streak information stored locally on your device
• Game Progress: Village building progress, resources (gold, wood, crystal), raid statistics, and troop configurations stored locally
• Notification Preferences: Your settings for daily reminders and weekly summaries
• App Preferences: Theme selection (dark/light mode) and other customization settings

Anonymous Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage analytics through Firebase Analytics to improve the app experience. This data includes:

• App Usage: Which features you use, how often, and for how long (e.g., habit completions, raids, building placements)
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and language settings
• Session Data: App launches, session duration, and screen navigation
• Performance Data: App crashes and technical errors to help us fix bugs

Important: This analytics data is completely anonymous and cannot be traced back to you personally. We do not collect your name, email, or any personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Track your habit completion and provide streak statistics
• Send optional daily reminders and weekly summaries (if enabled)
• Save your game progress and village state
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and add features based on usage patterns
• Understand which features are most valuable to users
• Detect and fix crashes or technical issues

3. Data Storage

All your personal data (habits, game progress, settings) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and UserDefaults. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to external servers. Your habit data, game progress, and settings remain on your device at all times.

Anonymous usage analytics are transmitted to Firebase Analytics (operated by Google) for aggregation and reporting. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

4. Notifications

If you enable notifications, we use Apple's local notification system to send you:

• Daily habit reminders at your specified time
• Weekly completion summaries

Notification content is generated locally and does not involve data transmission to external servers. You can disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings.

5. Third-Party Services

Gambit uses the following third-party service:

We do not use advertising services or share your data with advertisers.

6. Data Retention

Your personal data (habits, game progress) is retained on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. You can delete individual habits or reset your progress at any time through the app.

Anonymous analytics data is retained by Firebase for up to 14 months for reporting purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data (all data is visible within the app)
• Delete your data (by deleting the app or resetting progress in Settings)
• Opt-out of analytics by disabling "Analytics" in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements
• Disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings

8. Children's Privacy

Gambit is suitable for users of all ages (4+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. All data is stored locally on the device, and only anonymous usage analytics are collected. If you are a parent and have concerns, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date and version number.
